What to expect from your treatment
During the treatment, protective eyewear will be provided and a cooling gel may be applied. The IPL handpiece is placed against the skin and delivers controlled pulses of light. Patients often describe the sensation as a quick warm flick or snap against the skin.
After treatment, the skin may look red, warm or slightly swollen. Pigmented areas may darken temporarily before flaking or fading gradually. Vascular areas may appear more flushed before settling.
Downtime varies depending on the concern treated, treatment intensity and individual skin response.
A course of treatments may be recommended for best results.
